Passport application Related

Hi,
I have applied for British passport after Naturalization on 6/12/19 thinking it will arrived or approved with in 2 Weeks. As mostly of people been approved with in 2 weeks. Now Christmas and new year holidays and it’s gonna delayed my application further more but I have very very important travels plans coming up in January 15th which I can’t miss. Now I come to my question...
1 Can I call passport office regarding this situation?
2 If they don’t give me passport by the time can I ask home office for temporary travel documents?
Any advice please

1. Yes you can call HMPO.

2. No you don't qualify for a temporary travel document if you have never held a British passport.
