COVID-19 - US biometrics

Post by ChugaLuvMe » Fri Mar 20, 2020 2:17 am

Hi all,

My wife and I applied for her spouse visa last week. She's applying from the USA. Her biometrics was on 23rd March but with the recent closure of all USCIS centres she cannot attend this date. She has rescheduled for 1st April as this is when they are closed until however we are not hopeful they will reopen on this date and we must reschedule again.

If the centres are closed for let's say 1-2 months, will the documents we submitted last week be ok? I am worried that I will receive 1 or 2 payslips by the time she gets to submit her biometrics but hoping the documents will be assessed as they were relevant at time of application and hoping I do not need to resubmit brand new documents.

Anybody else in this situation?

8 billions people are in the same situation :)

Wait and see. When this mess is over, administration will probably put sensible processes in place to deal with the backlog. Until then, we can just speculate and try to stay healthy.
