Returning Resident Visa

Post by JonAz » Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:18 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know how long a Returning Resident Visa lasts once it has been issued?

I am a Brit living in the US, my wife is American, she had ILR prior to our coming to the States but has now been out of the UK for over 2 years. We now wish to return to the UK, we know she needs to apply for a Returning Residents Visa, but cannot find any reference for how long she has to enter the UK once the visa has been granted and knowing this would help us greatly in planning our return.

Thanks

My understanding is that is is initially granted for 6 months to enable entry and an application for a BRP card.
