Travelling to the UK with second nationality passport

Hi everyone,

I’ve tried looking in the forums but couldn’t get an answer to my question and I really hope that someone here can help me out.

I have an ILR and dual nationality. The BRP shows the nationality of Passport#1 which is now expired. My question is, can I travel back to the UK with BRP and Passport#2 (second nationality), or do I need to renew the Passport#1 first?
