Dear All

I have received my ILR visa and now I am planning to travel to Pakistan however my Pakistani Passport will be expired in Jan 2021, so I am assuming entering Pakistan within valid period will not be an issue however I am curious while travelling back to UK in DEC-20 when my passport close to expiry, will it be a problem at immigration.

Hello

As you reside in the UK, it should be an issue. But there is a risk if due to lockdown / restrictions in UK or Pakistan, you will end up there with an expired passport. If possible, renew before you go.

Just to add, it may be worth checking whether you can renew the passports at PHC given the current situation with Covid. I know that the passport offices in Pakistan are open again (someone in my family got their passport renewed a few weeks ago) but not sure what the situation is at the High Commission here.
