Filling visitor visa form

Post by jimmymcad » Sat Feb 06, 2021 7:02 am

Dear experts,

I am filling UK Visitor form to call my sister in law and her baby to support my wife during her pregnancy's last month and my baby who is 1.5 years old. Two questions.

1. Visotor Visa which category: Is it going to be

tourism (Friend, Family) or Other Reasons.
Technically it is not a toursim, but a need of her during her pregnancy. The reason for her baby travelling is, she is attached to mother so much. Which category I should select?

2. People financially dependent on you - Does anyone rely on you for financial support
Now my sister in law is an house wife, Her husband works and earns money and my sister in law does not so there is no one relying on her as she is filling this form. Also my sister in law has Fixed deposit money as saving of 3M PKR, Her husband is not joining her UK. But because one of her baby is coming with her UK, what should she write here?

if you click no, it will not take any dependent details.

If you click yes to this question (financially dependned on you: ) It asks dependent details, and questions which only appear if you select no, for example: Is he/she travelling with you, passport detail, relationshop detail, but if I say no, then no where to mention if one dependent is travelling with her. Please can someone guide me here.

I hope you understand the qeustions: Many thanks in advance

Kind regards,
Jimmy

1. Visitor tourism family - not sure why you think this isn’t appropriate. A word of advice: do NOT state that your SIL will be helping with the newborn. As per several recent posts here, it just complicates things with HO and may lead to a refusal. Reason: help with kids can be considered unpaid employment. Just state in the cover letter that this is planned to be family reunion

2. From my perspective, your sister has kid/kids and they are dependent on her. Dependency is more a question of existing obligation rather than who’s breadwinner.

3. Make sure that the fact that her husband and, especially, other kids are lft behind is clear and make sure that you stress her strong ties with her home country
