Hi All,
I realize that the employer has to provide a letter for ILR saying that 'the employee will be required for a foreseeable period'.
Once a person gets the ILR is there a period (i.e., one year etc.) upto which you can't change the employer? Or it doesn't matter once the ILR is granted.
Thanks.
Once you gained ILR you are "free from immigration restrictions" and can organise your working life as you wish, change employers, be self-employed or choose not to work. Only thing to remember is that if you are out of country for 2 years and more your ILR will lapse and youmay need to apply for a returning resident visa.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
