Parent visit visa advice

Post by AyeshD » Wed Jul 06, 2022 6:23 pm

Hi,
I have recently got my ILR and currently pregnant. My parents want to visit us and spend time with us and meet their grandchild.
They both are retired and have no source of income. My elder sister and brother inlaw who lives in another country support them financially. My parents also look after my sisters children(studying in university) as they live in my moms house.
The house in under my parents name and I also have two other siblings living close to my parents.
I would be sponsoring their trip but I am just confused about proving their strong financial ties to India.

My sister can provide her employment letter and also explain that she looks after my parents (source of monthly finance)+ her children live with my parents for their education.
and that a letter explaining my parents will go back India as they are guardians for my nephew and niece along with other siblings living close by is enough?
I can also provide house deed under my mom's name.
Their bank account will show monthly deposits from my sister for their monthly expenses.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Not even sure what holes to plug in this write up, it looks like Swiss cheese. Let me try!

Your parents aren't currently working at all, with no income. It doesn't look good. It seems like a complete family support programme. Why would they want to go back home? I'm not saying that they don't, but how do you convince the ECO that they would.
It doesn't matter how many family member write attestations to this effect, their geographic and economic lifestyles should scream I need to be back home asap.

But you know what, sometimes, miracles do happen. Gather what you can, and give it a go. It's a 50/50. Either they get it or you don't get it. It's not like they would start some job in a few months, or win the lottery.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
