UK VISA -

Post by zubairm » Mon Nov 14, 2022 6:31 am

Hello ALl,

Hope you are in good health.

I need suggestions on the below case.

My wife got the opportunity to apply for a UK charity visa and we as Dependent VISA .

I have 13 years experience as a network security engineer presently working in UAE,planning to come to the UK on a wife charity visa as a dependent .

I want to know if converting my dependent visa to a job visa/tier 2 visa is possible. If yes, then do I need to take the IELTS ? .

Kindly please specify the current IT Job market ?

It will help us to make a decision, if possible, please provide us with the mobile number.

To switch visas you need a ukvi licensed sponsor. You cannot simply switch without a sponsor or a job.

You would need to find a job with a sponsor on the ukvi approved List.

Yes you will need to meet the English requirements for a Skilled Worker visa

It is possible to switch from being a Charity Worker Dependent visa to a Skilled Worker visa if you meet the job requirements, including the requisite language requirements.

The good news is that you can start applying for and even start working on a Charity Worker dependent visa (Rule 18.3(b) of Appendix Temporary Work - Charity Worker of the Immigration Rules). So, ironically, while your wife can't earn if she is working for a charity on a Charity Worker visa, you can.

Keep in mind that any time that your family and you spend in the UK on the Charity Worker/Charity Worker dependent visa does not count towards settlement/ILR. The clock to ILR/settlement will start from zero when you and your dependents (including your wife) switch to the Skilled Worker/Skilled Worker dependent visa. So the faster you switch over to a Skilled Worker visa within the UK, the better.

To study the current job market, you would want to look at the usual job sites (Indeed.co.uk, Reed, Adecco, TotalJobs, Monster, Linkedin, etc).

And as for the request for a mobile number, we are lost as to which mobile number you want, but sharing any personally identifiable information (name, emails, any other contact details.,etc) is strictly forbidden on this site.
