ILR BRP replacement but passport expiring soon

Hi all ,

I am on ILR and my BRP validity is expiring in June 2024 .
My indian passport validity is expiring in Sept 2024 .

My wife is on spouse visa where BRP validity is June 2024 .

My question is i am assuming i need to get my BRP replaced before my wife can apply for her visa extension . Is that correct ?

If yes then can i apply for BRP replacement straightaway or do i need to get my passport reissued first as my paspport will expire in Sept 2024 . ?

Please guide me

BRP is not linked to a passport. BRPs will no longer be needed from the summer of this year as eVisas are being rolled out to replace them all. Read the announcement topic on top of the forum !
