Need information pertaining to British National (Overseas)

Hi to everyone at this forum.

I was just wondering whether anyone would have any reliable information pertaining to holders of a BN(O) passport.
I understand that you need a certificate of approval if you are to marry a British Citizen; but could someone enlighten me as to whether i could apply for an ILR or change to British Citizen status post marriage? If so what are the protocols that i would need to follow.

Would be a great help if anyone could shed some light on this topic. Thanks in advance to everyone!
