Kicked out if the Uk

Post by Lokij » Sun Apr 10, 2011 3:51 pm

I applied for a spouse visa a year ago and it was granted
My partner and I settled in the uk. A year later while my partner
And I were breaking up immigration told me I would
Be removed because I did not declare spent convictions
From the US on the application. I was told by my lawyer at
The time that spent convictions did not need to be
Declared so I didn't declare them. Even though I have a child
In the uk they were able to remove me because, as they said
I didn't have a relationship with the child because
Me and the mother broke up and she wouldn't
Let me see him. So here I am 3000 miles away
From my son. What can I do? Can an appeal be
Successful?

Did you leave voluntarily or were you deported? Do you have a ban?

Did you have legal representation and did you appeal their refusal?

How old is your son - and were you able to provide proof of a genuine relationship?

I take it you have US nationality?
Immigration was really dastardly. They didn't give me
A chance to Leave on my own. My son is 1 and me and
His mom were separated so I hadn't had contact
With him for a few months. Prior to that we
All lie together. My point is, with the ban I won't be
Able to see him for years. Surely this is against
My human rights. That's what my solicitor is arguig.
