Hello,
I'm hoping someone would be able to offer some advise whether its through their own experience or knowledge on the subject.
My partner is living in the UK on a BRP which he applied for through his South African passport and Nationality. He has recently been granted a Maltese passport which means he now has dual citizenship with SA and Malta (followed neutralisation process). We want to travel to Europe in September and he will be using his Maltese passport to do so.
We have the following questions which we can't find definitive answers to:
1. Does he need to complete a change of circumstance form with the UK gov for his BRP? This is normally for if your nationality changes however he's still retaining his South African nationality.
2. If he enters and exits Europe on his Maltese passport, will this cause an issue when he later applies for ILR? He will be exiting and entering the UK on his BRP, but I'm not sure if this will cause there to be a gap in his records if his SA passport is not stamped? Will the movement be recorded on his BRP?
Hope this all makes sense.
