Spouse of Irish national application - Approved, finally!

Post by Monifé » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:11 pm

Hi guys,

Just want to let you know my husbands spouse of Irish national application was approved today after waiting 9 months and 5 days. All we need to do now is go to GNIB tomorrow and get his GNIB card and stamp :)

Thank you to everyone who supported us on this forum through our lengthy immigration problems (2 years 6 months).

Finally we can live in peace, Alhamdulillah.

Background stories:

Initial story of where it all started.

The reason we thought EU1 would work for us.

Main reason there were such huge delays.

Congratulations. So it is taking 9 months nowadays for undocumented spouses of irish to have their cases for stamp 4 turned around.

Masha' allah Monife

I looked through your topics...some struggle.

It's wonderful how you retained a cheerful attitude through all of it.

Just thought I would update my original thread.

My husband's citizenship application was approved on the 22nd of October :D :D

It was a long, hard road, but we persevered and got there in the end :) Almost 6 years of battles, but it was worth it in the end :)
