Electronic Bank Statement (eStatement)

Post by exam » Mon Sep 17, 2012 4:04 pm

Dears:

I will apply for my citizenship in coming months.

I want to know about the e-Statements and e-Tax documents (like P21) or any other document you guys provided with your application.

1. Are they acceptable, e-Statements (bank/tax), without any further stamp or endorsement from relevant bank/office?

2. Did anyone attached/provided the e-Statements (bank/tax) with their citizenship application without any stamp from bank or tax office, if so whether they were accepted or refused?

I had an experience with an Embassy which rejected the e-Statements.

Many thanks

Hi, if you take the colour print outs of your bank statement , you would be fine as it looks like the same as you get them by post from the bank.

In relation to P21's they might look a photo copy, you better to call the revenue office and ask them for your previous P21's by post. Also if you go to your online account on revenue.ie you can switch back to receive your documentation by post.

Hope i have answered your question.

As per an email that I got from INIS in January 2012 - the department accepts Electronic Documents (P21s, Bank Statements, Utility Bills) as long as they are from "Official Sources".

In my case, all except bank statements, were electronic. BoI didn't have e-statement at that time and so I didn't have a choice.

Dear Zafar:

Thanks for your reply.

I am with AIB, the problem with AIB is that the online bank (e)statements are black and white while the printed ones that they send (if your are not switched to estatements) are colour ones, so no chance that I can make coloured copies.

Few days ago I requested duplicate from the bank, hopping for the colours, they send me black and white instead of the coloured ones although I paid the fee, the duplicate statements also contained the word "duplicate" in the centre of the statement in very large font.

Any suggestion

Many thanks
