Comprehensive Sickness Insurance: what plans?

Post by travelling-show » Thu May 04, 2017 4:33 pm

I want to get Comprehensive Sickness Insurance for my dependent parent. I was wondering if there are any restrictions in terms of plans. I am thinking of getting "One Plan Starter" by Vhi - it is a reasonably basic plan.

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Whatever you can afford really. There isn't a minimum requirement other than having some form of health insurance to comply with EU1 application. In essence any level of private health insurance is a "comprehensive insurance" since it means your parent is more unlikely to access the public health funds
