Frontier worker

Post by Magnificent3 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:28 am

Hello. I am a British citizen, my wife is a non eea national and daughter is a British citizen. My wife got the 3 months stamp C visa allowing her to stay in Ireland for 3 months. We moved into Ireland about a month ago. I will like to know if it's possible to exercise my treaty rights as a frontier worker - working in Northern Ireland and living in ROI.

If I were to be working in Northern Ireland, will my wife be eligible for stamp4 visa on the basis that we live in Ireland and I work in Northern Ireland as a frontier worker?

If she's eligible, what section do we select on the eu1 form? Will that be self sufficiency or self employment? Thanks

Yes your wife will still qualify.

Also just to be on the safe side, you could also get a medical insurance and rely on your Northern Ireland income.
