Spouse VISA and visiting UK

Post by visaexpress » Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:21 am

Just a quick question. My wife will be taking out a spousal visa for Ireland shortly. Will she have any problem visiting the UK? Possibly working there?

"taking out"? you mean applying for? Is she applying for a Stamp4EUFAM or a Stamp4 (spouse of Irish citizen)? Either way, she will not be able to use either visa for entry to the UK. She will require a seperate tourist visa to visit the UK or work visa to work there. She may qualify for EU Family Permit in the UK if she is married to a EU citizen who has worked outside the UK in another EU country. Details of both your and her citizenships are relevant here.
