Solicitor

My Girlfriend and I are going to be applying for a de facto visa. I am Irish and she's a non EEA national, and we're together nearly 5 years. At the moment she's on a study visa.
From going through some previous posts it appears that it's wiser to get a solicitor than go it alone.

I realise that every case is different, but on average how much would this cost.

Also could someone recomend one. If this is against forum rules then please PM me the info.

Hi i think you can do it yourself and save yourself nearly 2000 euro, if you want my opinion. It is mostly cases involving same sex partner or where one of the partner is not lawfully resident in the state that i will recommend a solicitor.

Most of the solicitors only take your money and forward the documents you provide them, which you can do yourself obviously.

You can seek advise from solicitors or citizens information and migrant council, but giving them the job to do is quite pointless.It will not guarantee an approval if all the requirements are not met.

Sovet, that is quite reasonable, you could probably send a PM to the OP about it.

I just though if the matter is not complex, then it is worth going it on your own.

Then again, i might be wrong.
