If you applied in Sep 07, I believe you are very much near the end of the process, you can ring INIS up to confirm where things are at the moment.

If you are almost through, I'd say just bear things as they are until you are through. Any little excuse to turn down application is what I have been hearing these days....
...though it tarries, it shall surely come...

AShawna is right, give ur application decision first and than go for social welfare things
