Period of investing the funds?

Post by mikilol » Sat Jan 05, 2013 3:41 am

I am applying as entrepreneur with 200 pounds in my bank account. What is deadline of investing my funds in new (established) company?

You don't have to invest at all if you don't intend to extend your leave before it's due to expire. But if you do, you can seed the money at any time during the validity of your initial grant of leave to enter or remain.

You can invest anytime but there is also a requirement to employ two settled UK residents in last 12 months of your initial visa.

So technically, in third year of your initial visa, you must invest some of your funds.

And in first 8 months of your initial visa, you must register yourself as self employed or register a company.

Technically, but this is not mandatory in exceptional circumstances. For example, if a business were so successful in its first three years of operation - by employing 10 workers and turning over several million pounds, and all of this funded from its operating revenue - a person could apply for ILR without the need to extend their leave or ever having seeded the original 200K into the business.

Based on all above, Is it correct? If I fulfill other requirments (such as number of employees and revenue of the company) I will not need to invest initial 200 000 pounds.

Yes, this is all Appendix A attributes. Why not read that?
