10 year long residency

Post by razi1234 » Fri Jun 19, 2015 11:37 am

i hv a question that my 10 years are going to complete in AUGUST 2016...
my tier1 entrepreneur visa expiry date is feb 2017...
my question is that obviously in my case i dont need to go for extension of tier 1 ent visa ,my 10 years will complete before going for extension ,but my confusion is would i have to show 50 thousand investment and do i have to employee 2 person before i go for 10 years long ilr ?

if i submit my application for 10years ilr ,will they ask from me that show us ur investmnt u made and show ur employees payslips?
thanks

As far as my knowledge, they will not ask you anything about the investment.

10 Years ILR is on the basis of 10 years of private life.
So verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.

If you take my advice then I would say that do everything which is extension requirement. One of my friend has been asked for tax return couple of months ago on 10 year long residency.

10 Years ILR is on the basis of 10 years of private life.
It is not based on private life, it is based on long residence.
One of my friend has been asked for tax return couple of months ago on 10 year long residency.
This is normal to check tax status and to ensure that all taxes have been paid. This is due to many Tier 1 General applicants declaring different incomes to HO for extensions to what they declare to HMRC to reduce their tax bill.

But my friend was on tier 1 entrepreneur not tier 1 general.

HO can check tax affairs for any visa held in the past.
