Tier 2 to Tier 1

Post by Sreeni83 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:11 pm

Dear All

I am thinking of changing to Tier 1 (200k) to provide consultancy services in the UK to the clients. For the past 2 weeks, I have been in touch with banks in India based on my initial business plan and they are happy to provide with me a full bank loan of £200K provided i meet the monthly covenants which I am confident of. My question is whether I will be allowed to switch from Tier 2 to Tier 1 within the UK? I will be able to provide confirmation of loans processed and credited into my personal account in India. I would only like to transfer the funds to the UK upon the grant of visa to avoid further transfer charges etc..

I am sorry if the question has been asked before but I am getting somewhat mixed ideas when i read. Or Do i need to leave the UK and apply for entry clearance because I am depending on funds from Indian banks?

Kindly advise

Be aware that "consultancy services" is, in the Home Office's mind, a suspicious catagory of Tier 1 and your application, business plan, etc need to be watertight.
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.
