Please help (Urgent Query on applying IGS to PSW visa)

IGS to PSW visa

Hi all, my girlfriend's IGS visa expires on 24 of Jan. She got all the supporting documents except her Natwest banking statement..

Her banking statement comes in every three months and the last one she received showing the balance from 15 of Aug to 15 of Nov. She changed to receiving statement once a month on 8th of Jan. At that time she also requsts a three months statement covering the period from 15 of Oct to 15 of Jan(she has enough funds from 11 of Oct). However, Natwest sent her a three month statement from 15 of Aug to 15 of Nov, exactly the same as she received before because of their fault. Luckily, after checking their system, Natwest said the two monthly bank statements covering 15 of Nov to 15 of Jan was sent on 16 of Jan.

She also asked Natwest if they could provide a letter saying the printed version from 15 of Nov to 15 of Jan is genuine or gives stamps on the printed version of her bank statement, but the answer is no due to their policy.

While we are still waiting for the two monthly bank statement sent on 16 of Jan, are there anything elses we could do? If we cannot received it in time, can we send the one month statement(covering from 15 of Oct to 15 of Nov) and two printed version (covering from 15 of Nov to 15 of Jan), together with a letter explaining the current situation and saying we will send the remaining two month statements as soon as we receive it?

Thank you very much for reading this long thread.
we really appreciate any help that could be given at this hard time...

First of all, I sympathise with you over NatWest's inefficiency.
They always seem to fail when you need them the most.
Your electronic statements(print out from bank) will be accepted if there is an official bank stamp on every page. Guess you should go to your branch and ask the manager to authorize/stamp....I know people who kicked up a huge fuss and got the manager to write that letter - at risk of losing his job! To the best of my knowledge it is not advisable to send documents after your application has been sent. Make sure the statements(official & electronic) are complete and you should be fine.

All the best.

I read this and it is all so similar to my situation, apart from my girlfriends visa ends on the 31st January 2009.

My girlfriend has the required £800+ from the October 9th to January 9th, we thought that would be plenty of time to request the bank statements showing the 3 months, also from the useless fools at Natwest.

The first time we asked them, they said they would send us one and the absolute incompetent woman behind the desk sent us a statement for the 9th Jan 2009 - 12th Jan 2009. We went back the following weekend (17th January) and asked the people at the desk instead of the idiotic cashier, and he has ordered a new statement which he said would be here within the week. Well it is now Friday the 23rd and we're still waiting. Starting to get a little bit nervous.

We have statements for the periods between 9th Oct - 18th Nov, 9th Dec and 12th Jan. There is a gap of less than a month (as like you we switched between a 3 monthly statement and a monthly statement). Looks like one went missing, along with the other £28bn!

I think we will be able to get a printed bank statement from the branch which shows the missing period and send it with the original ones. Hopefully that is enough to convince them.

Good Luck and I hope you manage to receive the statements in time.

exactly the same situation with same dates for the statements with natwest. and they did the same thing to me as well. they sent me the same statement which i had already received for the same dates as yourself and charged me £5 for it. i went back and they ordered a new one which should be in anytime now.

but if in case it doesnt come ask them to provide a printed statement from the branch itself. ask them to STAMP and SIGN it. i dont think you would need bank letter under new rules. then send this statement along with some old statements so they can have peace of mind by matching account numbers in case the printed one doesnt have a name. bank cannot refuse it as its part of their services to us. if they dont then like said in this post before...kick up a fuss and get it done. insist on it.
