Tier 2 ICT - Dependant Complexity

Hello All,

Hope you will be able to help me with my situation.

I am currently holding a TIER 2 ICT VISA which is valid till 3 Sept 2012. Presently, I am in India (returned on 5 May 2012) and my company has asked me to travel again.

My VISA was extended twice in UK, once in Sept 2011 and again in Mar 2012. Now my wife was with me in UK and she did her dependant VISA extension in Sept 2011. So she had VISA till Feb 2012. She returned to India in Feb 2012, after which I did my second VISA extension in Mar 2012. Now she has no valid dependant VISA to travel to UK.

My company is asking me to fly in a week's time and I looking at options for my wife's VISA, so she can travel with me.

Can I apply for her Dependant VISA which will have validity of less than a month? If yes, how quick can I expect her VISA to come?

Or can I apply for VISITOR VISA and then when we are in UK, apply for fresh dependant VISA along with my extension?

Please advise me on above options or let me know if there is any other option.
