Tier II ICT Dependant visa switching to Tier II General

Hi

I am currently working in the UK under the Tier II ICT Long Term Staff Visa issued in Aug 2011 for 3 years. My wife is my dependant in this visa category. She has now got an offer to work in a UK company willing to sponsor her Tier II general visa under the PBS.

Can she switch from her Tier II ICT Dependant visa to a Tier II General Visa without having to go through the 12 month cooling off period?

So if I underestand you correctly, the coooling off period does not apply to the Tier II ICT Dependant and all they have to do is to apply for the Tier II General from outside the UK.

Am I right?

As a PBS dependant your wife is actually allowed to work (except some jobs) without changing her status. If she nevertheless wanted to change her status to T2G she would need a CoS from a sponsor and then apply for entry clearance from abroad. The cooling-off period would not apply to her.
