4. Number of dependants applying at same time: 0
5. Date application posted: 19 July 2012
6. Date application received at UKBA: 23 July 2012
7. Date payment debited: Not sure (but did online application)
8. Payment mode : Debit card
9. Acknowledgement letter received: No
10. Biometric letter received: 30 July 2012 (posted 26 July)
11. Date of biometrics enrolment: 30 July 2012 / 31 August 2012 - first set was unsuccessful due to 'technical error', received new biometrics letter on 30 August 2012
12. Date of approval: awaiting
13. Date of return of passport and other documents: awaiting
14. Date (new) leave to remain valid from: awaiting
15. Date BRP received: awaiting
I've so far faxed the UKBA twice since 31 August to request an expedited decision since the technical error was on their part, only to be posted a form letter saying I didn't fit the criteria for an expedited decision.
If you want to contact them - replies are seemingly limited and by post - you can fax them at "Team 15", 0114 207 2536, including your case reference, DOB, name and passport origin.
The enquiry helpline doesn't have much info, though the first person I spoke to was able to look at my file and tell me that my biometrics had been successfully captured the 2nd time. In subsequent calls, I was told that that shouldn't have happened as they're not allowed to look at our files. SHRUG! Fingers crossed this is sorted out as fast as some of you guys here.

Yes I have! I received the passport on Friday 21 September WITH a letter dated 20 September. It said I would received my biometric residence permit 'within 7 working days' but thankfully I received it the very next working day, ie Monday 24 Sep.owenhehe wrote:tashaslash wrote:
tashaslash, have you got your passport and visa back? It is another month after you have done your second biometric, can you update your progress? I haven't heard anything from UKBA yet after almost 2 weeks of second enrollment.

So in total, it was 3 weeks from biometric enrolment to having all my necessary documents in my hand.
