Company Letter for ILR in Tier 2 Visa

Hello,
I have landed in UK on 3rd Sep 2008 and will be completing 5 years on 3rd Aug 2013. I would like to know if the Reference letter from my company specifically needs to confirm that i will be in UK in future when i apply my ILR next year? I can get a reference letter which will provide my joining date, salary, designation but wont mention that i will be in UK in future as well. Is this really required?

Only based on this i am going to ask for visa extension. If the letter really requires to state that i wil be in future which i dont think my company will say then i wont get another extnesion.
