Tier 2 (ICT) to Tier 2 general after extension

Post by mubaursITA » Tue Apr 23, 2013 6:48 pm

Hi All,
I am currently holding Tier 2(ICT):Long term visa after it has been extended from Tier 2(ICT):Established staff.
Here is details

1) Tier 2 (ICT): Established staff - 13/11/2010-12/11/2012.
2) Tier 2 (ICT): Long term. - 13/11/2012-08/11/2014

Here is my question ?

1. Is it possible to extend my current Tier 2 (ICT) into Tier 2 general on Change of sponsor in-country?
2.if NO , than is it possible to apply Tier 2 general out-country without 12 month cooling of period?
3. If Yes, than switching to Tier 2 General will reset ILR clock ?

Please kindly clarify

Note : I already gone through sticky notes in the forum which don't have any information about extended Tier 2 ICT switch
Thanks and Regards

you can switch to Tier 2 General in-country if you change sponsor.

However, your ILR clock is not ticking at all, i.e. you are not eligible for ILR, because your initial T2 ICT leave was after 5 April 2010.

Thanks in advance

you will be eligible for ILR after 5 years continuous and lawful stay counted from the time you return to the UK on T2G leave.
