Any delay in Chennai BHC for Tier2?

Post by b1ravishankar » Mon Jun 03, 2013 2:28 pm

Hi All,

I applied for T2 General on 13 May 2013 from Chennai, VFS Application Processing Center. Till now the status was "Your Visa Application has been forwarded to British High Commission".

I also noticed that Apr 13 decision making statistics and there seems to be little higher volume and additional time in decision making. So far UKBA did not announced any reports about delay or expectations for delay.

Since 15 working days elapsed, I emailed to VFS helpdesk about the status.

-What I can expect in their reply?
-Anyone applied for T2 in May 2013 and may I know the status?
-By anyway this signals that my application will be declined?
-Do I need to take any action?

Look forward hear from similar applicants and gurus to share there views.

Thanks in advance
Ravi

That status will remain the same right from your passport being sent to BHC and they receive it back. It'll only change once after your passport is returned by BHC and in turn returned to you by VFS. They'll update it with Bluedart/courier tracking number. The same goes for the SMS service.

Thing is VFS does not have any access to how the application is processed by UKBA. Once forwarded to BHC they know only as much as what you know already. Once received they wont know anything about your VISA. Only you are supposed to open your passport.

Dont worry about the delays. This is peak time for VISA applications as Summer begins in UK. And delays has got nothing to do with your application being approved or rejected.
