urgent-Company licence application - Documents certification

Post by ajek01 » Sat Jun 15, 2013 12:11 am

Our company is going to apply for sponsor licence on Monday. We have certifed the docs today as well.

As per appendix a, certified documents must contain certifier's name, signature and organisation's name.

Our company has couple of branches and since all of the documnents were not together in one place, so 2 solicitors certified 4 documents in different places (both solicitors from same firm though).

My question is:

One solicitor certified 3 documents according to all 3 requiremts of appendix a above.

But the other document, certified by a different solicitor, did not write his name and also instead of his signature , he just wrote company name

Do you think that UKBA may reject the application for that reason

if the the application is submitted it is likely to be rejected.

All cerified copies should include a signed statement by the solicitor confirming that the document is a true copy of the original. A certified copy should also carry the certifier's personal signature and name for verification purposes.

Get all documents properly certifed before submission

Thank you for your kind reply Manci

I have another quick question please,

Our 4 doucments have been certified by 2 different solicitiors ( both solicitors are from same firm though), would this be ok with ukba?

Many thanks

Kind regards

They routinely reject docs where the solicitor just puts a company stamp. But if it's done right the fact they are done by 2 different people should not be a problem. With multiple-page docs the UKBA like the solicitor to either sign every page or state on the front how many pages are in the document he or she is certifying. That's from my experience anyway.
