Tier-2 (General) Visa Contract Jobs

Post by mlmesadq24 » Wed Apr 05, 2017 12:14 pm

I would like to come to UK from India with Tier 2 General Visa, one of the company in UK ready to sponsor for Tier 2 General for SAP technology.
But they don't have any tie ups with other companies, we have to search our own job (Contract) and work through the sponsor company(Umbrella company).

Please give good suggestions.

1) Is it hard to find contract jobs in UK for SAP Technology?
2) Are all the agencies accept Tier 2 General Visa ? or they prefer for other Visa type(PR)?
3) Can we move to permanent job roles with Tier 2 General (Suppose i got offer from other employer), move to other company in UK
4) Is it good time to enter UK for software job especially in SAP?

It is not permitted and illegal to contract on tier2 general. You cannot work foe an umbrella company, it is not allowed.

You are only allowed to work as an employee on PAYE for your HO approved sponsor.

Contracting is not allowed under Tier 2 visa rules.

Even for permanent positions, there are very few software employers who are ready to sponsor candidates. By my own rough estimate, only 4-5% employers are willing to sponsor visas. The NHS is the easiest place to find employment for Tier 2 holders but on the flip side their salaries are very low.
