Switching from Tier 4 Student Visa to Tier 2 Visa

Hi,

I am currently a Master student in the UK and the expected ending date of my course is 30th September, 2017. My visa is going to expire on the 28th of January, 2018.

If I receive a job offer starting on September 2018 from a Tier 2 sponsor company, am I eligible to transfer from my Tier 4 Student Visa to Tier 2 Visa.

I have checked the government website, it says that I have to apply for the Tier 2 visa before my Tier 4 visa expires, and I also see that the earliest date to apply for the Tier 2 visa is 3months before the start date of the work. Therefore, does that mean that I am no longer eligible for any graduate programmes in the UK, which start on September 2018?

You cannot apply for a Tier 2 General more than 3 months before, so no, you cannot apply before January 2018 for a Tier 2 visa.
