Am I overstaying?
You can apply in country to switch to another employer. If I get a job offer from the other sponsor, should I go home to apply for a new Tier 2 Visa?
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... indefiniteBut since you have not been abel to switch to another employer within 60 days you will NOT be able to apply for ILR as your continous stay has been broken.
Any reference to that mate?
You'd count the time the day you apply for the new employer. If you still make 5 years from the date of application with new employer then you can apply for ILRcracker1234 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 10:25 am@makky86,
Apologies to ask queries on other's thread.
You can stay max 6 years in Tier 2 General and to apply for ILR you need to have 5 years continuous employment.
For example, suppose you came to UK on December, 2011 and completed your 6 years on December, 2017.
In the first year from Dec, 2011 to Dec, 2012 there was a gap of more than 2 months so you not eligible to apply for ILR on December, 2016.
can you apply for ILR showing your continuous 5 years employment from December, 2012 to December, 2017 ?
I will be really grateful to you if you can let me know please. Thanks in advance.
you'd show only the employments covering last 5 years. You should not have more than 60 days in last 5 years if you changed employercracker1234 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:36 amAppreciate your quick reply. That's really good news.
So, I don't need to show my first employment that's during the first year on my T2G ?
Around the end of 1st year to till date with new employer without break yet so hoping to apply for ILR if successfully complete 5 years.
You're welcome. Best of luck for your ILR.cracker1234 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 4:38 pmoh cool. thank you so much and much appreciated for your reply. You are brilliant.
