Reinstatement of T2 visa curtailment

Post by Debpaul » Tue Feb 19, 2019 4:11 pm

Hello everyone,

I could do with some advice. I am currently on T2 visa and my wife is on T2 Dependent visa. In Aug last year I filed a divorced petition in the UK and as a result of that, I advised the Home Office about the circumstances. In December last year, I received a notice from the Home Office notifying that her visa has been curtailed. With the turn of events, I eventually decided to withdraw the divorced petition recently. My question is, how do I/she request reinstatement of the visa? Does writing a letter to the Marriage Curtailment Team will be good enough?

Many thanks in advance.

What is the date her visa has been curtailed to??

She must either leave the UK by this date or submit an application she believes she qualifies for.

The fact that you notified HO and initiated divorce proceedings and they took this action means that any application she makes as your dependent in the UK will likely be heavily scrutinised.

Many thanks for your response.

HO didn't specify a date saying they can't provide more information due to the "Data Protection" regulations. My wife has been in the Mental Hospital for 2.5 months says she didn't receive anything.

The solution was far easier than I thought actually. I emailed HO about the changes in the circumstances and within a few hours, they emailed me a retraction form to sign and return. Job done! Extremely pleased.

@CR001 Nevertheless, I thank you for taking the time to assist.
