Immigration endorsement

Hello,

I am traveling to UK on Tier 2 General VISA. My flight is connecting via Amsterdam Shiphol to Belfast City Airport. This airport does not have passport control. I am trying to figure out if an immigration endorsement on arrival is required for any future purposes? e.g. ILR applications, Citizenship. If there is no date stamped on arrival, will this be ok in any situation?

You need an entry stamp on your 30 day tier 2 visa vignette to 'activate' your visa and this is required to be to presented at the Post Office when you collect your BRP card.

The entry stamp is also required as proof of arrival for both ILR and citizenship.

Do you know if Belfast City Airpot has immigration control /border control? Is it possible to get the entry recorded at Belfast City Airpot?

You would need to contact border control directly or the airport to find out.

Hi,

I just received a response from the Belfast City Airport that the Border Force is in attendance at the airport. I hope that means they can stamp my passport.
