Switching from T4 to T2 when I realised I forgot to register one of my addresses!

Post by Hind77 » Thu Sep 12, 2019 8:01 am

Hi, I am a PhD student (just submitted) and extremely happy I got the job of my dreams. While applying for a T2 visa and checking my documents, I realised that I forgot to register one of my addresses (that I already left). However, I did change my addressin my university portal, so there was no intention to hide. I simply thought that as long as I'm in the same county I do not need to register again! Stupid me! I am now staying at a friend near the uni I got the job at and looking for rent, as part of my relocation. Now since I realised the missing address in my police registration, I decided not to submit my application yet and seek advice first. Some forums said I should write an explanation letter and apology, and attach it to my application, is that right? I also took an appointment with police (earliest in 2 weeks) to see if they will agree to register even though I moved out already. I am really worried and don't want to lose this job or get a refusal, please advice?
