Post by apoorva2190 » Thu Sep 26, 2019 3:12 pm

My husband is currently working in UK on tier 2 visa for a duration of one year...and he has already spent 5 months there....I have to join him with our son there for a period of 5 months only...do I need to get a dependent Visa or standard visit/tourist visa will work as duartion is of only 5 months and not longer and we both will return back to India and have no intention of staying in UK.

You can apply for dependent visa if your husband is on Tier 2 visa.

You can also come as Standard Visitor but your not allowed to use any NHS services. In case of any emergency medical treatment is very expensive in UK.

Your allowed to use NHS services inequal to British Citizens, if you are on a dependent visa because you pay IHS while applying visa.
