RCOS start date ammending

Hi,

My employer wanted to play things safer and set my start date to January 1st. My RCOS got approved actually very quickly and both myself and my employer would prefer I start December 1st this year. I've seen a lot of posts where people mention adding a sponsor note to amend the start date to a later date and this being fine. Is there any reason to suggest why moving it to earlier wouldn't work?

I can't see why it would be an issue but I just want some peace of mind before going ahead with my actual Tier 2 Visa application. Any guidance would be appreciated!
