Re: Tier 2 across 2 Sponsors in 5-yr period

Post by Michele26 » Mon Sep 14, 2020 10:13 am

Good Morning,

I am seeking guidance if there have been precedents where a couple (married for 19 years) and have been in the UK for 5 years, with the wife as the primary on Tier 2 (first 3 years) and then husband as the primary on Tier 2 visa, and whether an ILR application is likely to be granted.

Grateful for advice or contacts for immigration lawyers.

Thanks,
Michele

You cannot combine Tier 2 primary visa holder and Tier 2 dependent visa holder time to make up 5 years for ILR.

You need 5 years as the main Tier 2 visa holder OR 5 years as a Tier 2 dependent for ILR.
