Tier 2 General PBS Dependent Visa

Post by sujit89 » Sun Sep 20, 2020 12:27 pm

Hi All,

I am currently in UK with Tier 2 General Visa. My family (wife and 7 months old baby) is in India and I am in the process of raising Dependent Visa for them to be applied from India.

I am couple of questions -

1. For Child Visa, there is something called Letter of Consent. Do any of you have a format for that which we can use. It says the below. As i am currently in UK, how is it possible for me to sign the consent. Is it ok if only her mother signs the consent? Could you please guide me on this.

Letter of consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
A letter of consent that confirms:
the relationship between you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the application
consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the living arrangements in the United Kingdom and the address where you will be staying
whether one or both of your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have responsibility for you
Both parents/legal guardians must sign the letter of consent, except where only one parent/legal guardian has sole responsibility for you

2.For Partner Visa, is it mandatory to get the Knowledge of English certified done? For my wife, we can show her degree certificate where the mode of language and communicate was in English. Do we need anything else? Any one can let us know what all documents are required for Partner Dependent Visa.

Thanks, Sujit
