Reduction Salary in Tier2

Hi.. I am currently under Tier2 and due to covid 19, my sponsor is looking to reduce the salary from 60K to 42K permanently. My visa is due for extension in Aug. Do we need to go for new COS or just go for renewal with existing COS? OrIs there any possibility to change the salary through Sponsor Management System permanenetly?

Your sponsor has to report a reduction in salary from the level stated on the CoS within 10 working days. This is done through the SMS

Provided the new salary is still appropriate for the SOC code of your job I don't expect to be any problems
