Tier 2 General Visa Cool-off period

I have been given a Tier 2 General visa for 2 years from 2019 to 2021. My confusion is as follows:
If this year I quit to work in the UK and then leave UK to return my country, can I work in the UK under a new different Tier 2 General visa after more than 1 years? If yes, under this new Tier 2 general visa, can its maximum period be 6 years and then eligible for ILR (indefinite leave to remain) application?

There is no longer a 'Tier 2' visa. It is now the skilled worker visa. There is no cooling off period anymore.

A new visa will be a new qualifying period for ILR.
