Error in place of birth on BRP

Hello All, I have query regarding newly received brp card for skilled workers VISA application which is applied from within uk, I understand that there is a process to report brp error.. Worry is that I may have to apply DEPENDENT VISA in next month. Can I apply for DEPENDENT VISA whilst correction is in progress.. Will the brp number change or remain same.. Or all good to progress with current brp even if correction process is in progress?
