Tier 2 VISA expired and applying for a new Skilled Worker Visa

Hi,

My Tier 2 VISA has expired on 15th October 2021 and I've been issued a new sponsorship certificate from a new employee. I'm going to apply Skilled Worker VIsa on 1st of December 2021. I wanted to ask will this affect my ILR status?

Your previous posts states you have been out of the UK since September 2020. This is more than the 180 days absence allowed so if you come back, you start again from scratch with a new 5 year period.

Thanks for replying, but I read that 180 days rule was exempted when there is a global pandemic such as Corona?
