Disclosure Note on COS

Post by Sunsat » Thu Feb 15, 2024 12:06 pm

Hi everyone,
I have two queries...

1. My brother is the director of an accountancy firm and he got a sponsor license from UKVI. And his accountancy firm has one employee as an authorising officer. Can my brother sponsor me on his license for a work permit if I fulfill the requirements for the job as I'm already working for him remotely and this is genuine job?
(According to UKVI guidelines, an authorising officer should not be a relative of the applicant. Additionally an authorising officer of my brother's firm is a stranger to me.)

2. If someone sponsors his family member(s) in the UK as a skilled worker, is it mandatory to give a disclosure note for the issuance of COS? As we discussed over the UKVI helpline, and being told by the representative that as for the Authorising officer is not a relative of the Applicant for skilled worker(s), he can be sponsored by the company. But we have been told by someone, we must give a disclosure note for sponsoring any family member whose relative is working in the same company. Please advise if someone could help us in understanding. Thanks in advance

Looking for swift response....
