Re-entry as tourist after Skilled Worker Visa Expiry?

Post by DrLSM89 » Mon May 26, 2025 12:21 am

My Skilled Worker Visa expires on 14/07/25, and I intend to leave the UK by then, for a trip. However will I be able to return to the UK as a tourist, for traveling within the UK and throughout Europe?

I am from an EEA country and will need to/intend to apply for the ETA for tourist entry. But I would like to know this might potentially cause any problems with re-entry? I am well aware of the 180-day timeframe and no rights to employment/rent as a tourist.

Cheers and thank you!

You could be stopped and asked questions, as this is an unusual pattern (switching from a legal stay to a visitor, and re-entering in such a short period) . If you satisfy them, they'll let you in. ? I am well aware of the 180-day timeframe and no rights to employment/rent as a tourist.

No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
