Dependent visa extension

Post by Divyaraj » Tue May 12, 2026 12:53 pm

I have a skilled worker visa valid until June 2027 as my employer gave me 3+3 from June 2021.

My BRP says 25th June 2021 as approved date so planning to apply for my ILR on or after 28th may 2026 so is it correct ?

Once I applied ILR , what happens to my dependents, they have visa till June 2027 but will be eligible for ILR only in sep 2026 as they didn't switch as my skilled worker dependent visa in 2021.They had ICT dependent visa during 2021 and they switched to skilled worker dependent around sep 2021.

Does their continuous period reset because I'm applying for ilr ?

Many thanks in advance

Do not tag your questions ontonother members topics, itnis considered rude.

Nothing changes for your dependents. Their visas remain valid and they apply for ILR when they qualify.

They can apply for ILR at the same time as you as long as they have 5 years of dependent visas.

Thanks for the quick response and my apologies for adding into someone else post.

They were my ICT dependent until sep 2021 and then switched to skilled worker dependent. ICT dependent also counts towards settlement?
