Late visa

Post by On_leave » Sun Mar 18, 2012 12:46 am

Hi guys
I have applied for tier-2 entry clearance visa and it looks like I wont get my visa before my employment start date. So I am wondering what i need to do to avoid any problem in heathrow. Do I just have to inform my employer about later arrival in UK? or Do I have to get confirmation from employer about new starting date because of late visa approval.

Thanks

Safer to get written consent from employer about late arrival.

Vinny is right, you should clear/agree your late arrival with your employer because if you don't turn up for work on the agreed start date your employer is obliged to report you to the Border Agency.
