yes, does that make a difference?
People under 26 considered new entrants but I am not sure if there is a strict rule that they are prioritesed. Also if he has tier 4 then things might be different as well
Could you please explain the new entrant policy? He does not have tier 4 visa. He is directly going from India.
Is he working for the same employer in India and for at least a year?
no.

I was at 35 applied Dec-March. Company did another RLMT with an increased salary and so 45 points April and now May. It just feels so difficult. The Lawyer says the cut off is at 60 k this month.
The cut off is 55 this time. I got rejected at 44.
Is there any chance the home office is giving priority to doctors at lower pts , We seen a urologist getting approved at 45pts and someone at 43 pts
I am a doctor applying via NHS and got refused this month at 50 points non SOL
With a salary of 54k in NHS non shortage job , how much point do I get? HRdid not receive any confirmation.

So denied visas mean denied cos ? I was worried if the visas applied with a valid cos got rejected ! ?

The articles are using it interchangeably. Denied cos is denied visa for them.

Refused at 45 points.
Will think if it's worth trying a second time in June as I also have another offer elsewhere. UK seems to be a 'hostile environment' right now and there's really no hope at 45 and below without a change in government policy.

the HR is just giving the information which we know too "cut off is 55 this month
so far"
I am still positive for 45 this month.
There are 587 at 45 last month, month on month changes and RLMT expiries considered it can be around 700 this month. Which means we need the rest of the points at 1300 appx.
we have SOC i.e 130 and above at a monthly average of 750 (consistently) which leaves 550 for scores between 50 and 130. Traditionally 50-90 have been around 200-300 and 90-130 are around 100.
So unless something is going terribly wrong, 45 should have a strong case. Keep positive. We haven't directly heard 45 points rejected!
COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU. I did the calculation myself also. This time 45 should get through even if I inflate the figures a little. I am waiting on 44, and I know someone who got through at 43 just now. Non-SOL, non-PHD. Applied for the first time.
hey do you know if this person has applied for a NHS role?
No. not NHS. IT Job.
I got myself refused with 44 points, but others with 43 points got through, it is getting weird everyday.

The cut off was always going to be 55 when we heard of more than one person at 55 points getting their’s exceptionally outside of the monthly quota. This has happened in previous months and means that not all of the 55 band were able to fit in the normal quota but there were less than 100 so they could borrow from June. Yes sometimes they have been granted exceptionally for genuine exceptional reasons however we knew that these ones didn’t fit that category based on what the posters had said.
There will be less available in June as well so can’t really see any change in the points. A lot of RLMTs will be expiring next month but there also seems to be a big increase in new applications so it all evens out without needing to do any calculations.

This also might indicate that either there are more PHD/SOL applications now or the new applications are going with much higher salaries i.e. companies are willing to pay much higher salaries now just so that their application do not get refused. This is resulting in cut off points not getting lowered. This would just mean that people in the lower salaries will simply never get their approvals, not even in the coming months.

There is nothing new here in May. This is exactly the same pattern since January. Around 1700 of the monthly applicants from January had +50p. Every month. So the remaining certificates would be lower than the number of 45p applicants, which is now ~700. Lower than 45p has absolute 0 chance of getting approval. Unless the whole system changes.
I got rejected for the second month with 45p.

This is so bad , mine is on the way too . Just need to wait for the allocation report but it look like no free rcos from this month to June.
Should we even ask our organisations to apply next month at 45 when the chances are already grim

Yeah I don't see any point in trying at 45 or below unless there is a policy change. In fact our companies might realise that and not bother trying next month. The best hope is a policy change within the next week to 10 days. Because after the large number of news articles yesterday in the UK about COS, and the cutoff rising to 55 this month, if there was ever going to be a policy change it's going to be now since May was 6th month of cap being reached. It's now or never.

I know a lot of people are concerned about their applications and rightly so, mine one is on Skill Shortage and even I haven't heard anything from my employer since my employer hasn't heard anything from the solicitors. This whole system is quite complex and baffling to be honest.

I know we are in the same boat, I hope it will be okay in June/July. Does anyone can answer my quick question, what if HR advertised the job in 4th Dec 2017 then is it still available to apply for June ? Thanks !
